AI and other emerging technologies are changing the future of war. However, today's militaries are still dependent upon legacy equipment and traditional manufacturing. While China has dramatically increased grown its own defense industrial capabilities, the US and its allies have watched its industrial base shrink to the breaking point. We must develop new technology to facilitate dramatic changes to how we sustain the warfight and how we engage the industrial base.
